Local Extension educator (LEE)
Oversees the federation or council financial process ,ensuring team members are prepared for their roles and funds are appropriately supervised
Engages the Extension educator (operations), as defined within their roles and responsibilities
Youth treasurer
Youth treasurer
The treasurer carries out the responsibilities of the role as defined. This provides an educational opportunity for youth to learn financial management skills.
The group should elect a new youth treasurer each year and the term should not exceed two one-year consecutive terms. The youth treasurer is a voting member of the federation/council and their executive board/advisory committee.
Adult volunteer advisor to the youth treasurer
Adult volunteer advisor to the youth treasurer
Guides and assists the youth treasurer in their duties. Helps assure that the youth has a meaningful, educational role.
Must be a Minnesota 4-H volunteer.
The term should follow the terms outlined in the federation/council constitution and bylaws. When using this option, the adult volunteer advisor is a voting member of the federation/council and their executive board/advisory committee.

A county Extension support staff (CSS)
The CSS may be assigned specific responsibilities; the decision is made in conversation with the regional director.
The CSS does not have a voice or vote on the federation/council or executive board/advisory committee.
The term is limited only by the length of employment or change in position description.
An person or firm hired and paid by the federation or council
The short-term employee or firm carries out the responsibilities as defined in their position description or contract.
These individuals do not have a voice or vote on the federation/council or executive board/advisory committee.
There is no term limit but the role should be reviewed annually.
