Each year, Sept. 15 is the beginning of a new 4-H year. All volunteers who were approved in the previous year are automatically changed to a Not Enrolled status in our 4HOnline database.
Regional Support Staff will notify volunteers of their status.
Thank you for volunteering with Minnesota 4-H this Program Year. We hope you will join us to continue offering learning and leadership opportunities for Minnesota youth in your community!
You will receive an email or letter from Regional Support Staff in the fall with instructions on how to renew. The renewal period will be Oct. 1 to Nov. 15. Volunteers should not actively volunteer until they are in Approved status.
Re-take Safety of Minors training online and complete the survey at the end
Re-enroll in 4HOnline
Paper options are available for each step. Read our Volunteer Renewal Guide for links and a step-by-step guide. This Safety of Minors Reporting Form should be submitted if you choose the paper option or if you didn't see the survey at the end of the online video training.
Once both steps are completed, your status in 4HOnline will be changed to Approved. You will receive an automatic email from 4HOnline. If you have a question about your status, you may contact your local 4-H office.
Thank you for volunteering with Minnesota 4-H this Program Year. You are eligible to continue your work of providing learning and leadership opportunities for Minnesota youth in your community. Please note that eligibility to volunteer is not a commitment to volunteer. Connect with your local 4-H Extension Educator if you wish to discontinue your volunteer service.
You will receive an email or letter from Regional Support Staff in September to let you know if you do not need to renew.
Regional Support Staff will update your status to Approved in 4HOnline. Because these updates are made manually, dates of these updates may vary.
