Renew as a volunteer
Volunteers renew their commitment every three years
Each October, Minnesota 4-H staff will notify volunteers who are due to renew their volunteer commitment.
If you need to renew
You will receive an email or letter from Regional Support Staff this fall with instructions on how to renew. The renewal period will be Oct. 1st through Nov. 15th each year.
Follow the detailed steps in this VOLUNTEER RENEWAL GUIDE.
RENEWAL INCLUDES TWO STEPS:
Re-take Safety of Minors training online or via other methods
Re-enroll in 4HOnline or via paper re-enrollment form. The Volunteer Renewal Guide above contains a step-by-step guide through re-enrolling in 4HOnline.
Once both steps are completed, your status in 4HOnline will be changed to Approved.
If you have a question about your status, you may contact your local 4-H office.
If you do NOT need to renew
You will receive an email or letter from Regional Support Staff in September to let you know you do not need to renew this year.
The new 4-H year starts Oct. 1st. Regional Support Staff will update your status to "Approved" in late September.
