Work under the direction of two screened and approved Minnesota 4-H volunteers and/or staff.
Uphold the Minnesota 4-H Codes of Conduct for volunteers, parents.
Complete tasks as negotiated with program staff.
Participate in volunteer development opportunities to stay current with information, learn new skills, and maintain 4-H standard of quality experiences for youth.
Support the positive growth and development of each youth
Provide hands-on assistance to support the delivery of positive youth development

Prospective Minnesota 4-H volunteers who are not yet ready or willing to undergo the full screening and application process
Have limited time or seasonal availability
Can organize and motivate youth while nurturing positive youth development, decision making, responsibility, and leadership in youth.
Have a sincere interest in working with youth in an educational setting.
Can communicate effectively with youth, parents, and other adult volunteers and staff.
Experience working with youth.
Training to enhance personal skills and knowledge.
