Hayrides
Managing risk at hayrides
Hayrides are a fun, team building activity that 4-H members may otherwise not experience, but due to the potential for injury, safety practices are essential. Injuries that occur with hayride accidents are usually quite significant because of the number of people involved and the size and weight of the equipment. People can fall off as wagons roll easily on inclines/declines or when hitting unseen holes.
