Mentor, assist, and advise 4-H members in the overall management of the 4-H group
Coordinate project bowl practices with hands-on learning experiences
Utilize questions and support project learning for youth on the project bowl team
Inform 4-H staff of involvement and participation in practices
At the end of each project bowl season, assist youth in reflecting about the experience
Assist team in learning good sportsmanship in a friendly and competitive atmosphere
Foster positive youth development through leading a team in the Project Bowl season
Project Bowl volunteers work with teams as “coaches” to create a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment for all youth.
Work with teams and meet approximately once/week for 2 months prior to regional competitions in March
Times and dates will be determined by coach and youth team members (along with parent/guardians).
People who enjoy group teaching and sharing knowledge and skills with youth
Effective communicators with youth, parents, and other adult volunteers and staff
The ability to organize and motivate youth while nurturing positive youth development, decision making, responsibility, and leadership in youth
Provide valuable leadership to 4-H program that enhances the lives of youth
The opportunity to work with youth and provide positive support and growth experiences
