Coordinate and manage the county/tribal 4-H shooting sports and wildlife program in the areas of:
Operations
Risk management
Volunteer management
Event and program management
Budgeting and income generation
Awards and recognition
Complete required training needed to remain certified and follow all risk management policies
Recruit and support a youth and adult leadership team for the group that will share the work and develop leadership skills in others
Assist with youth leadership activities throughout the year such as leadership retreats, club officer training, etc.
Advocate for Shooting Sports and Wildlife activities both in and out of 4-H
Create a safe, consistent, and positive environment for learning about shooting sports and wildlife
Build a sustainable shooting sports program in partnership with youth, parents, community partners, and 4-H staff
One program year minimum with a three-year commitment preferred
Approximately 5-20 hours per month depending on the size and nature of the program
An individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for community service
Someone with strong interpersonal skills good at working in partnership with youth
Individuals interested in creating fun and innovative opportunities for youth learning and leadership
Someone with a sincere interest in teaching and sharing knowledge and skills with youth in an educational setting
Training to support knowledge and skill development, including skills-based training in managing shooting sports and wildlife activities
